1.
The contention is that the powers of the State Election Commission under Section 14-B of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959, for disqualification of an elected member of the Gram Panchayat, has been delegated under TALLE SHUBHAM ASHOKRAO Section 10-A to the Collector. When a question was put to the petitioner as to how the plea of election expenses crossing the TALLE SHUBHAM ASHOKRAO Date: 2024.07.10 19:31:43 +0530 limit of Rs. 50,000/- has been exceeded by the respondent no. 4 inspite of the respondent no. 1 in the impugned order dated 21.05.2024, having recorded the expenses made by the Shubham Talle
20-WP-9142-2024.doc respondent no. 4 as Rs. 1450/-, the learned counsel for the petitioner admits that neither the statement of the account nor the vouchers have been produced. These are the only documents, which would indicate any discrepancy since no other documents are placed on record.

I therefore do not see merit in the same. The petition is therefore dismissed. No Order as to costs. (AVINASH G. GHAROTE, J.) Shubham Talle
