This Writ Petition was disposed of by order dated 3rd December, 2025, directing police assistance to be provided to the Petitioner-bank for taking possession of the subject property in execution of an order passed by the competent Magistrate under Section 14 of the Secularization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI Act, 2002). The possession was to be handed over to the Petitioner - Bank on or before 7th January, 2026. On 6th January, 2026 another order was passed in this Writ Petition extending the time period to 30th January 2026, in the light of the fact that police was unable to provide assistance due to local body election scheduled on 15th January 2026. akn

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner - Bank submits that the extended time period could also not be complied with because the unforeseen incident that took place where the Deputy Chief Minister of the State died in an unfortunate accident and police bandobast had to be made in District, Pune, for dealing with the situation. 3.
In view of above, the time period for providing police assistance to the Petitioner-bank, for ensuring physical possession of the secured asset being handed over to the Petitioner - Bank is extended to 15th February 2026.

The Respondent Authorities are directed to ensure that physical possession is handed over to the Petitioner - Bank within the said stipulated period of time.
