The above Writ Petition was disposed of by order dated 8th August, 2024. By the said order, we had directed the State Government to take a decision on the proposal forwarded by the Additional Collector for considering the extension of the contract inter-alia that of the Petitioner. This was to be done by the State Government within a period of eight weeks from 8th August, 2024. We had placed the above matter on board for reporting compliance.

Today when the matter is called, we are informed that the proposal forwarded by the Additional Collector to the State Government has OCTOBER 14, 2024 Laxmi

8 wp 9746-24.doc been decided by the State Government and the said proposal has been rejected. Be that as it may, we find that our order has been duly complied with. In these circumstances, no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition.

If the Petitioner is aggrieved by the rejection of the proposal, he is at liberty to adopt appropriate proceedings in accordance with law, if so entitled.
