After the petition was heard for some time, Mr. Namboodiri sought leave to withdraw the petition and states he shall apply to the Customs Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (the CESTAT) for urgent reliefs. Petitioner may apply to the CESTAT for such reliefs as advised and also for early hearing. The CESTAT will consider the same in accordance with law.

We clarify that we have not made any observations on the merits of the matter.
