The Petitioners are aggrieved by the stipulation in the notice dated 15 May 2024 that those candidates who have been involved in the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) scam must produce character certificate from the Cyber Cell, Pune. According to the Petitioners, though the name of the Petitioners is referred to in the TET scam, the Petitioners have successfully completed the Teachers Aptitude Intelligence Test (TAIT) and in the light of the decision of the Aurangabad Bench of this Court dated 14 September 2023 in by JYOTI PRAKASH PAWAR Date:

21. WP 9826.24.doc Writ Petition No. 8534 of 2023 and Ors., having completed the TAIT examination which is a different mode, the involvement in the TET scam will not be an impediment in self-registration on the Pavitra Portal.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners submits that in the Contempt Petition No. 31 of 2024, the State Government has made a statement that such candidates will be permitted to register on the Pavitra Portal. The learned AGP will take instructions as to whether the stipulation contained in the impugned notice is contrary to the assurance given to the Court in the Contempt Petition and if so, what remedial steps to be taken.
