The order impugned in the present Writ Petition rejects the Application filed by the Writ Petitioners seeking issuance of witness summons to the Registrar of Marriages with respect to the Marriage Certificate issued by him.

This Court deprecates the practice of calling Government Statutory Officers who have issued statutory certificates and statutory orders in favour of the parties. Once the said registration certificate has been duly exhibited and marked in evidence as an Exhibit, the said certificate shall speak for itself in accordance with law. It is a public document. In that view of the matter, the impugned order dated Corrected / Modified order as per speaking to the minutes of order dated 05.08.2024. 1 of 2
