Heard learned counsel for the parties.

A request made by the Petitioners for allotting additional intake of 10 seats each in electrical maintenance and mechanical maintenance on unaided basis for Petitioner No.2 has been rejected by the Joint Director, Vocational Education. Such order has been challenged in this Petition. However, learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that considering the nature of the relief claimed it would be appropriate for the Petitioners to approach the Respondent PMB

16.wp.10596-2024.doc Nos.2 and 3 who will be competent to take an appropriate decision in the matter of such a nature.

Accordingly, we permit the Petitioners to make a comprehensive representation to the Respondent Nos.2 and 3 within a period of one week from today. Upon such representation being made the Respondent Nos.2 and 3 to take a decision on such representation as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of the representation. It is made clear that we have not dealt with the merits of the order dated 30th July 2024 passed by the In-charge Joint Director, Department of the Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship. Keeping all the contentions raised in the Petition open, we request Respondent Nos.2 and 3 to examine such a representation and take a decision on its own merits and in accordance with law.
