By an order dated 31st July, 2024, the earlier Bench had expressed that it would not stay the entire promotion process at the behest of these 6 Petitioners. It was, however, recorded that if the Petitioners succeed, they will not be non-suited on the ground that there are no vacancies.

Until further orders, the interim relief would continue and it may be noted that no equities would be created in favour of the newly promoted persons in view of the earlier order dated 31st July, 2024.
