The petitioners have challenged the order dated 25/06/2024 passed by the Hon'ble Revenue Minister in the Revision Application preferred by respondent nos.4 to 7 under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966. By that order, the effect and operation of the order dated 16/05/2024 passed by the Deputy Director of Land Records, Pune has been stayed. Alternately, the petitioners seek expeditious consideration of the pending revision application.

The learned counsel for the petitioners initially submitted that though a caveat was filed in the proceedings initiated under Section 257 of the Code and that the stay order dated 25/06/2024 was passed without hearing the petitioners, he 1/2

In the facts of the case since the petitioners were not heard when the order of stay dated 25/06/2024 was passed, expeditious consideration of the revision application preferred by respondent nos.4 to 7 would serve the ends of justice. Accordingly, it is directed that the revision application preferred by respondent nos.4 to 7 shall be decided by the State Government on its own merits expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months of receiving copy of this order. The petitioners shall serve copy of this order on the respondent nos.4 to 7. 4.
The writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. 5.
