The respondent no.2 was elected as Member of Gram Panchayat in the general elections conducted in January 2021. petitioners filed proceedings to disqualify the respondent no.2 before the District Collector. The proceedings were turned down. The petitioner also filed appeal before the Divisional Commissioner. The Divisional Commissioner also dismissed the appeal. Hence, the present petition is filed. 2.
Mr. V. S. Yelmale h/f Mr. U. L. Momale, learned Counsel for respondent no.2 as also Mrs. B. B. Gunjal, learned AGP submit that the term of village panchayat itself is over. As such the Writ Petition has become infructuous. 3.
Accordingly, Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
