The only prayer put forth by the Petitioner in this Petition is that the proposal dated 23.11.2010, pending decision with Respondent No. 2 Education Officer (Primary), Zilla Parishad, Thane, be decided within a timeline.

In view of the above, we are not issuing notice since the proposal is almost 15 years old and this Petition need not be kept pending.

We direct Respondent No. 2 to decide the said proposal by Talwalkar

4.WP11502.2024.odt following the due procedure laid down in law, within a period of 90 days from the date of the communication of this order by the Petitioner to Respondent No. 2. A reasoned order shall be passed. Needless to state, this direction is to be implemented, if the said proposal is yet not decided. If the proposal is already decided, the decision be communicated to the Respondent No. 1 as well as the Petitioner. 4.

With the above directions, this Petition is disposed off. 5.

In the event the proposal is rejected, the Petitioner would be at liberty to avail of a remedy as is permissible in law.
