The Petitioner-Society is aggrieved by order dated 8 August 2024 passed by Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies rejecting the Application preferred by the Petitioner for recovery of dues under provisions of Section 154B-29 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 (MCS Act). There is an alternate and equally efficacious remedy for the Petitioner-Society under Section 154 of the MCS Act for challenging the order dated 8 August 2024. In that view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to entertain the present Petition. Reserving the liberty to the Petitioner to adopt alternate remedy under Section 154 of the MCS Act, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

The time consumed in prosecuting the present Petition shall be excluded while computing the period of limitation for filing Appeal/Revision under Section 154 of the MCS Act. 3.
