In the present writ petition the proper interpretation of Government Resolution dated 16th October 2012 arises for consideration. According to the petitioners, it is only those Daily Wagers who have worked for minimum 240 days for at-least five years between 1st November 1994 to 30th June 2004 would be eligible for consideration but for 10% reservation. On the other hand, according to the respondents, those daily wage forest workers who have worked for 240 days for more than five years are entitled to 10% reservation in recruitment on Group "C" and Group "D" posts. The Tribunal while allowing the Original Applications has held that the former requirement is only with regard to absorption on supernumerary posts with which the respondents are not concerned. 1/2 5-WP-11908-2024.doc Dixit

The learned Assistant Government Pleader to place on record the chart that was filed before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal indicating the period for which work was discharged by the respondents. Similarly, the respondents to also place on record the charts filed by them indicating the period for which they have discharged work. 3.
