Let the affidavit in reply filed by respondent no. 8 be served on learned counsel for Union of India, State Government, Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) and Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited. 2.

The affidavits in reply by the Union of India, MCZMA and the State Government shall be filed within three weeks. A

18-WP.12431.2024 week's time thereafter shall be available to the learned counsel for the petitioner to file rejoinder affidavit, if any. 3.

We expect that while filing the affidavits in reply, the issues said to have been raised by the respondent no. 8 in its affidavit in reply shall also be addressed by these respondents and further, they shall disclose all the facts necessary for adjudication of the issues as to whether the permission being sought in this case is to be accorded or not. 4.

Since we understand that the permission of the Court is being sought in this matter in respect of the project of electricity transmission which necessarily involves public interest, we direct that no further time shall be granted to the respondents to file their affidavits and in case affidavits are not filed within the time being stipulated by today's order, adverse inference may be drawn.
