In compliance of our earlier directions issued on 17th December, 2024, recording the statement made on behalf of the Management that the same shall be complied by 31st December, 2024, the Petitioners in Writ Petition No.6765 of 2018 have placed before us an additional affidavit, where a specific statement is made to the following effect : "2) At the very outset, the applicant/Original Respondent No. 6, Sinhgad Technical Education Society, respectfully states that it holds this Hon'ble Court in the highest regard and esteem. At no point has the applicant Society ever intended to show any disrespect towards the majesty of this Hon'ble Court. The applicant further submits that there has been no willful disregard for the orders or processes of this Hon'ble Court, nor any intention to overreach the orders and procedures of the Court.

3) I say that vide further affidavit dt. 19.08.2014 the respondent society has placed on record that from June 2022 to July 2024 the present applicant society has duly paid Rs 45,26,18,810 to the respective teachers towards their unpaid salary dues. Thereafter by its order dated 02.09.2024, this Hon'ble Court directed Respondent No. 6 Society to pay the amount of Rs. 18,34,11,512/- admitted towards allowances to the respective petitioners/teachers by 18.11.2024. A copy of the order dated 02.09.2024 passed by this Hon'ble Court in Writ Petition No. 6765 of 2028 and other connected writ petitions is annexed hereto and

marked as EXHIBIT- ."

When we confronted Mr. Sawant, learned Senior counsel representing Respondent No. 6, reiterate his earlier stand that he is desirous of making the payment but they are in fix.

He has invited our attention to the affidavit which has offered the details of the amount which was disbursed till date. He would however request the Court to direct the learned AGP representing the State to obtain instructions in respect of the specific statements made in paragraph Nos. 15 and 16 in his affidavit.

We direct the learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State Government to obtain necessary instructions in light of the said statement, within a period of two weeks from today. As we see it as a ray of hope for the Petitioners, as some amount can be disbursed in their favour, if at all the amount is due and payable by the State Government to Respondent No. 6. List these Writ Petitions along with connected Writ Petitions on 27th January, 2025.
