In terms of the order dated 14/08/2025 passed by a Division Bench of this Court, the Respondent - Collector has forwarded instructions in sealed envelope along with the report prepared pursuant to the measurement undertaken at the spot. The Respondent Collector and the other Officers of the Respondent State assert that the aforesaid exercise of carrying out measurement and drawing panchanama was conducted in the presence of the petitioners and other landholders.

The said communication dated 06/02/2026 is addressed to the Additional Government Pleader, but it has been forwarded in the sealed envelope to the Court.

It would be appropriate that copies of the communication sent by the Respondent Collector as well as other documents sent in the sealed envelope are made available to the parties.

The petitioners are permitted to take copies of the same at their own cost within one week from today. The Registry shall permit the petitioners to take such copies.

5.

The petitioners are further granted time of three weeks to file their additional affidavit and response to the said communication of the Respondent Collector and the report and panchanama along with other documents forwarded by the said authority.

List for further consideration under the caption 'for directions' on 24th April 2026.
