Issue notice to the Respondents, returnable on 08 October 2024.

In addition to the usual mode of service, private service is allowed. Hamdast is permitted. The learned counsel for the Petitioner/s shall file affidavit of service before the returnable date.

We are not inclined to stay the election which is scheduled on 28 September 2024. However, we clarify that

In advance, we grant the Petitioner leave to implead the elected chair person as a Respondent to this Petition. Such amendment can be carried out before the returnable date and copy of the Petition should also be served on such elected chair person.
