The petitioners have questioned the report issued under Section 83 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act and the order appointing an auditor to carry out a test audit. These actions do not carry the character of quasi-judicial orders. This position now stands settled by the decision of this Court in Sayajirao Narayan Takwane v. Divisional Joint Registrar, Writ Petition No. Digitally signed by VINOD BHASKAR GOKHALE Date:

2025.12.01 17:51:55 +0530 544 of 2025, decided on 4 February 2025. The Court in that case VINOD BHASKAR GOKHALE held that such steps are only administrative in nature. I see no ground to take a different view.

For these reasons, the present petitions do not warrant consideration. The issues raised by the petitioners about the legality of the action initiated against them will remain open. The petitioners are free to pursue those issues in proper proceedings before the competent forum as permitted in law. 3.

Both petitions are disposed of accordingly.
