The petitioner has made 2 representations dated 12 February 2024 and 24 April 2024 to the 2nd respondent referring the seizure memo dated 26 March 2023. In the representations, the petitioner has requested for permission to allow the labelling etc. within the warehouse itself or in the alternate, to allow the petitioner to re-export the seized goods.

Learned counsel for the petitioner complains that till date, the representations have not been decided. In the facts of the present case, we think that representations should have been decided expeditiously.

Accordingly, we direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 12 February 2024 and 24 April 2024 as expeditiously as possible and in any event within 30 days from today in accordance with law and on their own merits after giving the petitioner a personal hearing in the matters. The decision on these representations must be communicated to the petitioner within this period of 30 days. 5.
This petition is disposed of in the above terms. 6.
All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
