The Petitioner's complaint is that the Respondents are not releasing almost 58 containers belonging to the Petitioner for no apparent reason since September 2021.

Accordingly, by our order of 14 July 2025, we had posted this matter on 29 July 2025 for final disposal at the admission stage. We have also granted the Respondents liberty to file their reply by 24 July 2025.

Perhaps, taking note of the fact that the matter did not reach on the appointed date, the Respondents have not bothered to file any reply till date. Today, a further two weeks' time is sought to file a reply. This cannot be appreciated.

Still, at the persuasion of Mr. Soutrik Kar, holding for Mr. Vijay Kantaria, learned Counsel for Respondent Nos. 1 to 5, we extend the time for filing and serving the affidavit to 19 September 2025.

If the affidavit is not filed and served by this date, then we shall proceed on the basis that the Respondents have no defence in this matter.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the remaining Respondents have been served and that even an affidavit of service has been filed.

We list this matter on 24 September, 2025 for directions/final disposal.
