The Petitioner has been serving as a permanent part-time Junior College Lecturer on a sanctioned aided post for the last 15 years. She seeks upgradation to the post of full-time Lecturer in Digitally signed by SAJAKALI LIYAKAT JAMADAR Date:

2026.06.16 17:42:05 +0530 terms of the Government Resolutions dated 31.01.2001 and SAJAKALI LIYAKAT JAMADAR 1 of

10.06.2005, in view of a clear vacancy having arisen in the institution where she is presently serving. For that purpose, she submitted an application dated 30.04.2004 to the Deputy Director of Education, Kolhapur Region, Kolhapur. The said application has remained pending since then. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the authorities, the Petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition in the year 2024.

Mr. Rane has impressed upon us that the Management of the institution where the Petitioner is presently teaching supports the Petitioner's claim. He also places reliance on the decision of this Court dated 23.07.2025 passed in Writ Petition No. 624 of 2024 in the case of. He also places reliance on the decision of this Court dated 23.07.2025 passed in Writ Petition No. 624 of 2024 in the case of Vaishali Gunwantrao Patil Versus the State of Maharashtra and Ors., inter alia, with regard to a similarly placed case in the same institution wherein this Court directed the Petitioner therein to approach the Deputy Director of Education with a prayer for seeking absorption as a full-time teacher and further directed that such representation to be decided within a time bound programme. 2 of

The only distinction is that the Management is not before us. The Management is arrayed as Respondent Nos. 3, 4, and 5. They shall be served with a copy of the Petition and this Order. They are directed to remain present through their authorized representative and apprise the Court of their stance qua the Petitioner before the Court.

If the Management supports the cause of the Petitioner, appropriate orders shall be passed by this Court akin to the order passed in the case of Vaishali Gunwantrao Patil (supra). 7.

List this Petition on 17th June, 2026 on supplementary Board. 8.
