Mr. Shridhar Patil, learned advocate is representing the respondentGram Panchayat. However, he states that he has been instructed in writing by the Gram Panchayat, Tanang that the Gram Panchayat does not intend to appoint an advocate in this matter. Accordingly, he intends to take discharge. This decision to withdraw the vakalatnama is taken on the basis of a resolution of the meeting of the Gram Panchayat, which was held on 13 February 2025 in which it has been stated that it is not financially possible for the Gram Panchayat to appoint an advocate. 2.

In this view of the matter, the Court would be required to appoint an advocate from the panel of the legal aid. This be informed to the Gram 26 March 2025

List the proceedings on 02 April 2025.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the Member Secretary, Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, so that a suitable panel counsel can be appointed and more particularly considering the nature of the grievance and the reliefs as prayed for by the petitioners.
