Heard Mr Dalal, learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Ms Bane, learned AGP for the State.

Mr Dalal points out that in terms of the land acquisition award dated 11 June 2022, the Petitioner has been awarded compensation of Rs 1,76,60,784/-. Out of this, an amount of Rs 1,39,06,783/- has been paid to the Petitioner. 3.

However, he submits that the balance amount of Rs 37,54,002/- is yet to be paid to the Petitioner. 4.

Mr Dalal points out that the compensation awarded is insufficient and therefore, the Petitioner has accepted the compensation under protest and applied for enhancement.

Ms Bane the learned AGP seeks some time to obtain instructions. To enable her to obtain such instructions, we post the matter on 24 January 2025.

We clarify that on the next date, we will dispose of this Petition finally at the admission stage. Therefore, if the Respondents wish to oppose the Petition, they should file and serve affidavit latest by 22 January 2025. However, if the Respondents agree to pay the balance amount, then, they should indicate the timeline within which the same would be paid to the Petitioner.

List the matter on 24 January 2025 for final disposal at the admission stage.
