The learned Advocate representing Respondent Nos. 2, 3 and 4, cites an order passed by this Court dated 13th June, 2024 [Nitin Jamdar (as his lordship then was) and M. M. Sathaye JJ.] in Writ Petition No.2558 of 2024, and Writ Petition No.2578 of 2024. The Petitioners were permitted to approach the Grievance Committee under Section 79 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 and until the decision of the Committee on the grievance Nikita

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits on instructions that the Petitioner would prefer an appeal before the Committee under Section 79, within 15 days.

We expect the Grievance Committee to issue notice on the grievances application put forth by the Petitioner and endeavor to complete the proceedings and pass an order, within 60 days from the date of appearance of the parties. In the event, the Grievance Committee finds itself short of time, it is at liberty to approach this Court with an application for seeking extension of time. The same would apply even to the parties. Needless to state, the departmental enquiry would not proceed until the decision of the Grievance Committee.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed off. All contentions are kept open.
