At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks time to amend the petition.

Learned AGP points out that the confirmatory order of the Securities and Exchange Board of India [for short, "the SEBI"] has been challenged by this petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India and raises preliminary objection on maintainability. He would further point out that State of Maharashtra has been impleaded as a party for the SEBI and that the SEBI will have to be arrayed as party to the proceeding.

Let the cause-title be corrected accordingly. Amendment to be carried out within a period of four weeks. Stand over to 8th January, 2025.
