.....
CORAM : MADHAV J. JAMDAR & PRAVIN S. PATIL, JJ.
DATE : 1st APRIL, 2026.
P.C. :
1.
Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned AGPs for the respondent-State.
2.
In this group of Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the relief sought is a direction to the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioners working at Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Government Medical College, Kolhapur. 3.
At the outset, the learned AGPs submit that the Writ Petitions are not maintainable, as an alternate remedy is available to the petitioners of approaching the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (for short, "MAT"). The learned AGPs rely on the order dated 16th December 2025 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in Writ Petition (ST) No.17653 of 2025 along with other connected matters. 4.
As an alternate remedy is available to the petitioners to approach the MAT, the learned AGPs are right in contending that the Writ Petitions be not entertained. Accordingly, all these Writ Petitions are disposed of by allowing the petitioners to avail an appropriate alternate remedy.
5.
The ad-interim relief granted by this Court by order dated 19th December 2025 shall continue to remain in operation for a period of 12 weeks.
6.
It is clarified that contentions of all the parties are kept open. [ PRAVIN S. PATIL, J.] [MADHAV J. JAMDAR, J.]
