The Hon'ble Supreme Court has passed an order on 3rd January, 2022 in Civil Appeal No. 37-39 of 2022. 50% back wages have been granted. The Petitioner had preferred Contempt Petition (Civil) No. 747 of 2022. The same has also been disposed off by an order dated 22nd August, 2023. The Petitioner, rather than approaching the Competent Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, has moved a representation to the Corporation, dated 22nd November, 2023. The same is pending. 2.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off. We direct the Respondent No. 3 Corporation to deal with the representation Talwalkar

909.WP17420.2024.odt of the Petitioner dated 22nd November, 2023 on its own merits, within a period of 60 days from the date of service of this order. The Petitioner shall serve this order on the Corporation by Speed Post A/D. 3.

Since we are only directing the Municipal Corporation to deal with the representation of the Petitioner dated 22nd November, 2023, if not already decided, we have not issued notice. (ASHWIN D.
