The learned AGP has shown us the original file with reference to the constitution of all the Mathadi Boards under Section 6 and the Advisory Committees under Section 14 of the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Act, 1969, all over the State of Maharashtra (the Act).

He points out that in pursuance to the order of this Court, dated 18th December, 2024, the Under Secretary, Labour moved the file to the Deputy Secretary, Labour on 13th January, 2025. In turn, he moved the file to the Principal Secretary, Labour on the very same day. The file then moved to the Labour Minister after the Principal Secretary, Labour signed on the file on 17th January, 2025. There is no entry of the file having reached the office of the Hon'ble Chief Minister, though the learned AGP submits, on instructions that the file is now placed before the Hon'ble Chief Minister for issuance of directions to initiate the procedure for
constitution of all the Mathadi Boards and the Advisory Committees in the entire State of Maharashtra.

In view of the above, we request the Hon'ble Chief Minister to issue necessary directions for initiating the process for the constitution of the Advisory Committee under Section 14 of the Act and the constitution of the Mathadi Boards under Section 6 of the Act. We expect the learned Addl. GP to apprise this Court of such developments, on the next date.

List all these matters on 3rd April, 2025 at 2.30 p.m. 5.
Besides the above issue, we would deal with the individual Petitions to the extent of considering the prayers for interim relief. If time permits, we may also consider deciding the Petitions finally.
