The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits, on instructions, that Petitioner No. 8 has sent an email dated 2nd December, 2025 praying for leave to withdraw the Petition, obviously that is to his extent. A printout of the said email is taken on record and marked as 'X' for identification.

She further submits that since the Factories Act, 1948 has now been replaced by the Maharashtra Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, which came into effect on 21st November 2025, the Petitioners challenge to a notification dated 19th June 2024, more specifically clause (i) to (iii) below Rule 5(2)(a), would not survive. It is submitted that the new Rules will now be introduced under the Code. The Petitioners desire to withdraw this Petition, and if they are aggrieved by any new Rule that may be introduced under the new Rules, they pray for liberty to file a Petition challenging any such Rule which they find objectionable.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off as withdrawn, on instructions.
