Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Kedar Dighe representing Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The petitioner, manufacturer of lifts and elevators, has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the prayer that an appropriate direction be issued to the appropriate authority of the respondent-Corporation to decide the application made by the petitioner seeking renewal of approval for use of material in the works carried out for Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The said application is said to be dated 24 June 2024 and has been enclosed as Exhibit-"A" to the present writ petition.

Learned counsel representing the respondentCorporation has brought to our notice letter dated 31 December 2024 written by the Joint City Engineer (Electrical) of the respondent-Corporation to the petitioner requiring it to make available certain documents. The said letter dated 31 December 2024 is taken on record.

On instructions, the learned counsel representing the respondent-Corporation states that once the requisite documents are received, and they are found in order, the prayer of the petitioner for renewal of approval shall be considered within two weeks from the date requisite documentation is completed by the petitioner. 4.

Accordingly, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the appropriate authority in the respondentCorporation to consider and decide the application said to have been preferred by the petitioner within two weeks from today in accordance with law and the extant rules applicable to the issue.

While deciding the application, the respondentCorporation shall pass a speaking and reasoned order, a copy of which shall also be communicated to the petitioner. (AMIT BORKAR, J.) (CHIEF JUSTICE)
