Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the respondent nos.1 and 2 and Mr. Mandlik, learned counsel representing the respondent no.3.

This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with a prayer to issue direction to respondent no.1 to decide the appeals filed before him, being Appeal Nos.12/2024, 11/2024 and 10/2024 expeditiously prior to the finalization of the voters' list for the election of the Managing Committee of the Cooperative Society - Shree

It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the aforesaid appeals have been filed challenging the disqualification by individual members and since the election programme for election of members of the Managing Committee is likely to be declared soon, it will be appropriate that the said appeals are decided prior to declaration of the election programme.

Having regard to the nature of the prayer made, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.1 to decide the aforesaid appeals pending before him, expeditiously, say within a period of two weeks from the date a copy of this order is produced before him, in accordance with law and, of course, after following the procedure as prescribe by the State Government.

This order shall be communicated to the respondent no.1 by the learned Addl. Govt. Pleader forthwith. (AMIT BORKAR, J.) (CHIEF JUSTICE)
