The Petitioner is 51 years of age. He submits that he has 'sugar'. He desires that he should be transferred close to his home in the light of the G.R. dated 7th April, 2021.

The learned AGP and the learned Advocate for the Z.P. rightly point out that the G.R. pertains to avoiding transfer of all ladies and those male teachers who are 53 years of age, to the difficult areas which are commonly known as hilly/remote regions. The Petitioner is 51 years of age and would turn 53 in 2026. He is not posted in a hilly Talwalkar

So also, the G.R. indicates that a person will remain at a particular place of posting for a period of 3 years and will not be eligible for transfer unless he completes 3 years, save and except, the clauses set out in the G.R. pertaining to grave and serious illness. 3.

In view of the above, this Petition is disposed off. Needless to state, after the Petitioner completes 3 years at the present posting, he may apply for a transfer in the general annual transfers and his application in such circumstances would be considered on it's own merits.
