In this PIL, the petitioners are aggrieved by the action of the respondents in stopping public access to Metro Eco Park, Akurdi, Ravet, Pune and also use of the land for the purpose of
29-PIL.63.2024 construction requirement of the Chief Electoral Officer, Election Commission of India.

Learned senior counsel for respondent no. 7 (Election Commission of India), on instructions, submits that the aforesaid part of the plot in question, on which trees are planted, has been allotted to the Election Commission of India by the State for the purpose of storage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM). It is fairly submitted by learned senior counsel that the respondent no. 7 is under an obligation to maintain the trees as they are situated within the premises in question. 3.
Learned senior counsel for respondent no. 7 prays for three weeks' time to enable him to seek instructions and to file an affidavit.
