A Government Resolution dated 16th September 2024 has been brought to our notice, whereby a Chairman and Vice Chairman along with two other members have been appointed on the Maharashtra State Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Commission. The said Government Resolution dated 16th September 2024 is taken on record.

However, it has been brought to our notice that the appointments so made are not in consonance with the provisions contained in the Appendix appended to the Government Resolution dated 1st March 2005, inasmuch as that

9-PIL.110.2024 the Member (Law), Member (Services) and similar other members, who have been appointed by means of the Government Resolution dated 16th September 2024, do not fulfil the requisite qualifications.

The learned Additional Government Pleader shall seek instructions in this regard by the next date of listing. 4.
