Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader representing respondents 3 and 4 and Mr.Dande, learned counsel representing respondents 1 & 2. 2.
By instituting the proceedings of this PIL petition, direction has been sought to the State Government to take decision on the letter dated 20th July 2022 written by the Commissioner, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation to the State in the Department of Urban Development, whereby approval has been sought for declaration of silence zone.

Accordingly, we dispose of this PIL petition with a direction to the State Government in the department concerned to take final decision on the said letter dated 20th July 2022 which has been enclosed as Exhibit 'N' at pages 43A to 70 of the PIL petition. The decision shall be taken by the State Government within a period of two months from today.

The decision which may be taken under this order shall be communicated to the petitioner as well.

The learned Additional Government Pleader shall communicate this order to the State Government forthwith. (AMIT BORKAR, J.) (CHIEF JUSTICE)
