Despite by an order dated 01.12.2025 this Court directed the respondents to comply the directions issued by this Court regarding payment to be made to the petitioners, today, the learned AGP submits that he will file an affidavit in reply on behalf of respondent No.3 stating that the amount as directed by this Court has already been transferred to Zilla Parishad.

Learned counsel representing the Zilla Parishad submits that the State has directed the Zilla Parishad not to pay the amount of those petitioners who are not entitled for it.

It seems that both the State authorities and the Zilla Parishad are trying to play blame game. We therefore, direct the respondent No.3 to file an affidavit to clarify as to whether the amount as directed by this Court has been transferred to Zilla Parishad. Similarly, the respondent/ Zilla Parishad is also directed to file an affidavit clarifying the position as to whether in fact such directions are issued by the State Government and if it is not so, then why the amount has not been released in favour of the petitioners.

Stand over to 16.02.2026 by way of last chance failing which this Court pursuant to order dated 01.12.2025 will be constrain to take contempt action against the erring officers.
