Applicants are seeking direction to permit the applicant No. 2 - Prabhakar and applicant No. 3 - Baby to receive the invested amount with accrued interest.

Applicants have preferred first appeal against judgment and award passed by the Civil Judge Senior Division cum Commissioner under Workmen's Compensation Act in W.C.F.A. No. 01 of 2004. Out of the awarded amount Rs. 4,45,420/-, the respondent No. 3/Insurance company deposited the amount, which was directed to be invested in the fixed deposit receipt in

2 29 ca 11429.24 the names of the applicant Nos. 2 and 3, who were minor at the relevant time. They have now attained age of majority and they are in need of the amount invested with accrued interest. 4.

I have gone through the contents of civil application as well as documents produced along with it. Requirement of the applicant No. 2 and 3 to receive the amount cannot be disputed. Amount was already invested in their names with the Union Bank of India, Branch VIP Road, Nanded. I deem it appropriate to permit to the applicant Nos. 2 and 3 to receive the amount with accrued interest. The civil application is allowed in terms of prayer clause 'C'.
