By filing this contempt petition, the petitioner has asserted that the order dated 5 January 2023, passed by the writ Court in Public Interest Litigation No.96 of 2022, whereby the concerned committee was directed to consider the representation to be preferred by the petitioner, has not been complied with.

Learned Additional Government Pleader has filed an affidavit-in-reply along with which he has enclosed the decision of the committee taken in its meeting dated 16 July 2024 with covering letter dated 26 July 2024. 3.
In view of the aforesaid, nothing needs to be adjudicated in this contempt petition any further, which is hereby disposed of.

However, we make it clear that notwithstanding disposal of this contempt petition, it will be open for the petitioner to take recourse to any legal remedy, which may be available to him for challenging the decision dated 16 July 2024 as communicated under letter dated 26 July 2024.
