The above Contempt Petition is filed alleging contempt of the order passed by a Division Bench of this Court on 14th February, 2023. 2.

By the said order, Respondent No.3 was directed to send the necessary report to Respondent No.1 within four weeks from the date of the said order. Thereafter, Respondent No.1 was directed to decide the pending Revision Application No.2315 of 2017 within four weeks from the date of

receipt of the said report from Respondent No.3. Since neither of the compliances were done, the above Contempt Petition was lodged / filed on 6th March, 2024.

When the above Contempt Petition had come on 9th July, 2024, the learned AGP appearing on behalf of the Respondents, firstly apologized for the delay in deciding the Revision Application. He submitted that there was a delay in filing the report as directed by the order dated 14th February, 2023, and hence, the delay. We had therefore directed that Revision Application No. 2315 of 2017 filed by the Petitioners herein before Respondent No.1 (State of Maharashtra, through Minister of State, Department of Revenue) be decided as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of six weeks from 9th July, 2024. We had also kept the matter on board today for reporting the compliance and for further orders. 4.

Today when the matter is called out, both the parties have informed us that a decision has been taken in Revision Application No. 2315 of 2017 and a copy of the said order had been handed over by the learned AGP to the learned Advocate for the Petitioner. Considering these facts, we find that there has now been full compliance of the order passed by this Court on 14th February, 2023 (passed in Writ Petition No. 314 of 2023) as

well as our order dated 9th July, 2024 passed in the above Contempt Petition. We must note that Mr. Patel, the learned AGP has profoundly apologized for the delay in complying with the directions passed by this Court on 14th February, 2023. We accept the said apology and dispose of the above Contempt Petition. No order as to costs.
