A batch of writ petitions vide Writ Petition (ST) No.92250 of 2020 titled "Nagendrayya P. Hiremath & Ors. v. The State of Maharashtra & Ors." with connected writ petitions came to be disposed of by an order dated 8th December 2020 in the following terms:- "a. The petitioners be paid wages at the minimum of the pay scale at the lowest grade, in the regular pay scale extended to the regular employees holding the same post with effect from the date of the petition."

Relying on the aforesaid order passed by the writ Court, the petitioners came before this Court in Writ Petition No.10016 of 2023 which was taken up for hearing and disposed of by an order dated 30th January 2023 observing as under:- "6. The Petitioners be paid wages at the minimum of the pay scale at the lowest grade, in the regular pay scale extent to the regular employees holding the same post with effect from the date of the Petitions. The same shall be complied with preferably within six months. All Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs." 3.
Alleging non-compliance of the order dated 30th January 2023, the petitioners have filed this contempt petition. After hearing the parties, the matter was taken on Board. Mr. Mr. S. H. Kankal, the learned AGP makes a statement on instructions from Mr. Divyanan Suryawanshi that the order passed by this Court shall be complied within two weeks.

The learned counsel for the petitioner tenders a copy of the letter dated 22nd August 2025 which is taken on record. In view thereof, the present Contempt Petitions are disposed of with a direction to respondent no.6-the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad Nashik to comply with the writ Court's order within next two weeks.
