The learned counsel for Respondent No.5 - Zilla Parishad has tendered an affidavit. The affidavit only refers to compliance of the order passed in contempt petition filed on 6 February 2023. However, the order dated 6 February 2023 granting time to Zilla Parishad was by way of indulgence and it related to arrears of the Petitioners. As regards the direction in the writ petition that Petitioners be paid wages at minimum pay scale at lowest grade still continues to bind the Respondent-Zilla Parishad. On this aspect the

LSP 2 26 cp 269.24.doc affidavit filed by Zilla Parishad is silent.

We give one more opportunity to Respondent-Zilla Parishad to comply with the order dated 8 December 2020, Paragraph 6(a) thereof, failing which Court will proceed under the contempt jurisdiction.
