Mr. Pandian, the learned Counsel for the Respondent Nos. 1 to 3, on instructions, states that the process for renewal of licenses was going on and there was no intention whatsoever to commit any contempt of Court. He pointed out that even without any formal renewals or tripartite agreements, the business which the Petitioners were carrying out was never disturbed or interrupted. He submitted that from this, it is clear that the Respondents he represents had not the slightest intention of committing any contempt of Court.

Further, on instructions, Mr. Pandian states that the process for renewal of licenses and even the execution of tripartite agreements involving the Petitioners, the Respondent No. 5, and Respondent Nos. 1 to 3 would be completed as expeditiously as possible and in any event within six weeks from today. He stated that an affidavit would be filed before the next date of reporting compliance. We accept the above statement, and we earnestly expect that all procedures will be completed within a maximum of six weeks so that there is full compliance with the directions issued in our order of 8 October 2021.

Considering the reasonable approach adopted by Mr Pandiyan based on the instructions from the Respondents, we expect that this issue will be sorted out within the next six weeks.

The Petitioners must also render all co-operation with the Respondents.

The compliance affidavit must be filed on or before 21 August 2025.
