The Order of this Court in Writ Petition No. 8492 of 2016 is dated 16th November, 2016. The Contempt Petition has been filed in 2024. The recent view taken by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Tirupathi Rao v/s. M. Lingamaiah & Ors., reported in 2024 SCC Online SC 1764, would apply to this case.

In so far as the responsibility of the Education Officer to comply with the directions of this Court set out in the order dated 16th Talwalkar

2 946.CP609.2024.odt November, 2016, the learned AGP on instructions submits that the Education Officer would complete the exercise within 60 days. The order passed on the pending proposal would be communicated to the Management as well as to the Petitioner.

In view of the above statement, by consent, this Contempt Petition is disposed off.
