These matters were called out at 5.50 p.m. The Respondent No.1, Mr. Santosh Patil, District Collector, Satara, and Respondent no. 2, Dr. Sachin Desai, District Health Officer, are personally present in the Court. The learned Advocate General has placed on record an affidavit of the Respondent no.1 along with documents annexed thereto (page nos.29 to 92).

The learned Advocate General has drawn our attention to the averments set out in paragraph nos. 4 and 5 of the said affidavit. An apology has been tendered by Respondent no.1, inasmuch as, an explanation has been tendered as regards the shortage of time for him to deal with the directions issued by this Court in its order dated 13th August, 2024 in Writ Petition No.11179 of 2024 and Writ Petition No.11181 of 2024. The learned Advocate General submits that ideally the said officer should have instructed the learned AGP to move an application for extension of time. Since that is not done, the said officer feels remorseful and expresses deep regret.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners is not present before the Court, either physically or through the video conferencing mode.

In view of the above, list both Petitions on 15th April, 2025 for disposal.

The appearances of Respondent No.1 and 2, are dispensed with, since we are accepting the explanation and the
apology tendered by Respondent no.1.
