The Order of this Court, though belatedly, has been implemented. An affidavit tendering an apology, by appearing in the Court in person, by Shri Santosh Patil, District Collector, Satara, who was the then CEO of Zilla Parishad, Pune, has been accepted vide order dated 9th April, 2024. The learned Advocate for the Petitioner was not present in the Court when the learned Advocate General of the State of Maharashtra had addressed the Court on 9th April, 2024. 2.

The Petitioner is not happy with the order. In Contempt proceeding, we have to only see whether there is a willful, deliberate or Talwalkar

6.CP650.2024.odt intentional disobedience and if there is a delay, whether the apology tendered by the alleged contemnor is genuine. We find that the District Collector, who in his capacity as CEO, should have passed the order within a time line, appeared in this Court, tendered an apology and expressed his remorse and regret. His conduct clearly appeared to be honest and genuine.

Since the order of this Court has now been implemented, we do not find any reason to entertain this Petition any further. The Contempt is purged. Petition is disposed off. 4.

Legal remedies, as may be available in law to the aggrieved parties, are kept open.
