The present Application is filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 for extension of the mandate of the Aribtral Tribunal.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that this is the first application for extension of time before this Court. Ms Sneha Herwade, appears for the Respondents and does not oppose the application. Learned Counsel inform that the arbitration is at the stage of cross-examination.

After hearing Learned Counsel and given the fact that there is no opposition to the application and substantial progress has been made in the arbitration proceedings, I am inclined to allow the present application in terms of prayer clause (b), which reads as follows: "(b) An order be passed extending the period of conclusion of the Arbitration proceedings for a further period of ten months from 2"ct March, 2024 for the passing of the Award." 4.

It is made clear that the time to complete the mandate of the Tribunal shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded.

The Application is accordingly disposed of.
