ARIF S. DOCTOR, J SHEPHALI SANJAY MORMARE Date: 2024.08.01 09:55:12 +0530 DATED:

31st July 2024 PC:- 1.

The present Application is filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 for extension of the mandate of the Aribtral Tribunal.

2.

By consent, Learned Counsel for the parties submit that this is the first application for extension of time before this Court. Learned Counsel inform that the arbitration is at the stage of marking of documents.

3.

After hearing Learned Counsel and given the fact that substantial progress has been made in the arbitration proceedings, I am inclined to allow the present application in terms of prayer clause (a), which reads as follows:

20-ARP-142-2023.DOC "(a) That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to kindly extend the mandate of the aforesaid Hon'ble Tribunal and the time period for passing the award in the pending arbitration proceedings from July 2024 till December 2024 or for such other period of time as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case." 4.

It is made clear that the six months time to complete the mandate of the Tribunal shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded.

5.

The Petition is accordingly disposed of.
