This is a Petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of the mandate of the Tribunal. I am informed that this is the first application for extension. There is no opposition to this application. Learned Counsel confirm that the final arguments are underway. Hence, I am satisfied that there has been sufficient progress in the arbitration proceedings and interest of justice would require me to extend the time as prayed for.

Given the above, the present Petition is allowed in terms of prayer clause (b) which reads thus:

2 39-ARP-151-2024.doc "b. An extension of a period of 6 months from 24/07/2024 be granted so as to enable the Arbitrator to pass Award in the proceedings between Applicant and Respondent pending before Ld. Sole Arbitrator Shri. S. R. Tambe." 3.

It is made clear that the extended time shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded. 4.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
