CORAM:
ARIF S. DOCTOR, J DATED:
26th September 2024 PC:- SHEPHALI SANJAY MORMARE 1.
This Petition is filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and SHEPHALI SANJAY MORMARE Date: 2024.09.27 14:58:15 +0530 Conciliation Act 1996 for an extension of time to complete the arbitral mandate.
2.
This is the first extension of time. There is no opposition to this Petition being allowed. I am informed that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final hearing. It is, thus, that the time is sought for. 3.
Having heard Learned Counsel, I am satisfied that the arbitral proceedings have progressed satisfactorily and sufficient cause has been made out for the grant of an extension of time.
45-ARP-156-2024.DOC 4.
Hence, I am inclined to allow the Arbitration Petition in terms of prayer clause (a), which reads thus:
"(a) That this Hoh'ble Court be pleased to allow the present petition and extend the time period for completing the ongoing arbitral proceedings and for making the arbitral award in the ongoing arbitral proceedings before the learned Sole Arbitrator Mr. Jamsheed Master by a period of six from the date an order is passed by this Hon'ble Court granting such extension or by such other period of time as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper."
5.
It is made clear that this shall be the final extension and that the period of six months to complete the mandate of the Tribunal shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded. 6.
The Petition is accordingly disposed of.
