IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION ARBITRATION PETITION NO. 179 OF 2024 M/s Vidarbha Infotech Pvt Ltd

...Petitioner

Vs.

State of Maharashtra

...Respondent

----------------- Mr. P. D. Purway for the Petitioner.

Ms. Rashmi S. Tendulkar for the State.

----------------- CORAM : ARIF S. DOCTOR, J.

DATE : 2ND DECEMBER, 2024 P.C.:- 1.

This is an application filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 for extension of mandate of the Tribunal. There is no objection for time being extended.

2.

I am satisfied that the arbitration proceedings have progressed satisfactorily since Claimant's evidence is now complete. Hence, the interest of justice would require me to extend the time. Petition is therefore allowed in terms of prayer clause (a) which reads thus:- "(a) Extend the time by another one year with effect from 02/11/2024 till 01/11/2025 for the learned Arbitral Tribunal comprising of Hon'ble Mr. Shubham 1/2

2 22-ARP-179-2024.doc Justice Mr. R. M. Savant as learned Presiding Arbitrator, Hon'ble Justice Mr. A. B. Chaudhari and Hon'ble Justice Ms. P. V. Ganediwala as learned coarbitrators, all former Judge of this Hon'ble Court to conclude the arbitration proceeding and deliver the Award;" 3.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
